Tom Stroup, CEO
Tom Stroup has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology industries. He has built and run several companies in this space, including co-Founder and CEO of CSM Wireless which holds mobile phone licenses in six markets; NuRide, Inc., an innovative transportation demand management solution focused on reducing traffic congestion and automobile emissions; and GroupServe, Inc., which licenses its portfolio of intellectual property to companies in the collaboration and online discussion industries.
Previously, Mr. Stroup served as the President and CEO of P-Com Network Services, Inc, an
international telecommunications services provider that designed and built systems in the US, the UK, and Italy. He grew the company to over $45 million in revenues and over 400 employees within three years. Before P-Com Network Services, Mr. Stroup was Founder, President, and CEO of Columbia Spectrum Management, a premier wireless telecommunications consulting and negotiating firm that he grew to over $21 million in revenues in under three years.
Mr. Stroup also served as President of the Personal Communications Industry Association. While there, he led the efforts of the wireless industry to obtain spectrum allocations, create regulatory structure, and develop industry standards. He also served as the industry spokesperson in testimony before Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, and the media.
Mr. Stroup has served as an advisor to several organizations and currently serves on the board of directors CSM Wireless, GroupServe, NuRide, and WhamTech of Dallas, Texas. He holds a BS, summa cum laude, in Public Administration from the University of North Dakota. He is also a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center where he served as Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
Joe Walsh, Business Development & Operations
With more than 15 years experience, Joe Walsh is an accomplished professional who brings to SquareLoop a strong background in corporate planning and operations for large companies as well as startups. Most recently, Mr. Walsh was Director of Investments at Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) where he played key roles in the establishment and management of a seed stage investment fund. There he served as an Observer to the Board of Directors for Paxfire, 4Wave Inc., Router Solutions and Verication.
Prior to CIT, Mr. Walsh served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Outbounder, a message technology company. There he defined corporate and product strategy, established sales channels and led the product management group for an innovative multi-channel message product. Mr. Walsh also served as Director of Corporate Development for kinkos.com, where he was responsible for market expansion into corporate accounts and international roll-out.
Mr. Walsh is also a successful entrepreneur and intrapreneur. As Co-Founder of BnBFinder.com, a traveler information Web site, Mr. Walsh established the company's strategic direction, market strategy and operational framework. Prior to attending graduate school, Mr. Walsh was a Principal at American Management Systems, where he founded the image management practice for financial services and guided large organizations in implementing Internet technologies.

Rick Heilbrunn, Finance
For over 20 years, Rick Heilbrunn has built and led finance, accounting, and information systems operations for companies in start-up, turnaround, and fast-track growth cycles. Combining strategic and tactical finance expertise, he has focused on linking financial operations and core business functions through technology-driven solutions.
In his most recent role as Founding Principal of Operational Finance Associates, Mr. Heilbrunn has helped numerous clients improve performance, profit, and value. His solutions increase cash flow, operational efficiency, and financial reporting integrity. His clients include a diversified real estate organization with a portfolio worth in excess of $4 billion and a $4.5 billion+ financial services organization.
Mr. Heilbrunn has helped a number of early- and mid-stage organizations secure capital and build core finance and operational capacity. As Vice President and Corporate Controller for HomeVest Financial Group, he helped attract over $7 million in venture capital funding. As Senior Vice President Finance and Administration for United Property Services, he completed a Regulation private placement that raised $1 million. He also was instrumental in the acquisition and subsequent integration of three financial service organizations in an 18-month period. The combined organization had revenues in excess of $10 million and 200 employees. Prior to founding his consulting firm, he was Chief Financial Officer for an international construction company with revenues of $600 million and 800 employees.
Mr. Heilbrunn holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida and he is a Certified Public Accountant. He currently serves on a number of non-profit boards that benefit children in his community.
Rick Daugherty, Technology
Mr. Daugherty has over 15 years of experience with information technology ranging from software engineering and development to enterprise-wide network installation, integration, operations, and maintenance. Most recently, he was Chief Technology Officer for Infonetic, a consulting firm specializing in system development and integration for government agencies. Mr. Daugherty was also co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer for Promotional Commerce, an online market place for promotional goods. Prior to co-founding Promotional Commerce, Mr. Daugherty was Chief Technology Officer for kinkos.com, inc., where he pioneered their print-on-demand technology. Previously, Mr. Daugherty held the position of Chief Technology Officer for liveprint.com, inc. Mr. Daugherty also held various management and technology positions for Waste Policy Institute, Advanced Logic Industries, Inc., and MTD Automation Technologies as well as New River Valley Communications and Network Design Systems, which he founded.
