QUALCOMM announced that SquareLoop is a finalist for its Wireless Reach BREW Application Funding Program. The program challenges companies to create the most innovative public service applications using BREW. SquareLoop proposed developing a BREW client for its Mobile Alert Network to allow emergency managers to send geographically targeted emergency alerts in the event of an emergency.  The Mobile Alert Network is uniquely positioned to be useful from a wide variety of emergency incidents to help increase public safety. One area of particular interest is the Mobile Alert Network's capability to be used to minimize the impact of pandemics with its patented Historical Location-Based Services (LBS) capability that allows for the delivery of messages based on past locations.
